Border Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Vita is fostered in Indian Rocks Beach, FL (Pinellas County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Vita is a fun, sweet dog who would be a great walking or jogging buddy. She is about 1.5 years and 49 lbs. She is crate trained and has learned to sit and wait before coming out of the crate in the past couple of days. She is very smart and needs a handler that won't be outsmarted! Vita loves to play fetch, and plays tug with another canine appropriately. If she goes to a home with another dog, she will need a match in average temperament that can handle a rougher, assertive play style. She walks well on a leash ... (Read More)with no reaction to humans or dogs. She knows sit and come, and is learning stay and not to jump on humans when excited in a short period of time. She does fine with all adults, but we do not recommend she go to a home with small children. Vita is housebroken, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm negative. Rescue Me ID: 18-05-03-00249Ellie May (female)

Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Ellie May is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Ellie May is currently fostered in Bradenton, FL (Manatee County). Ellie May is a wonderful energetic girl who spent over 4 months in a shelter. She has lots of energy and lots of toy drive! She is very compatible and submissive with other dogs, but plays with great gusto. She does better matched with another medium to large energetic dog. She shares toys, loves to play tug and runs like the wind! Since she spent so much time in the shelter, she did not learn much about manners, but is learning with ease and speed. No resource ... (Read More)guarding whatsoever. She likes the kiddie pool, likes to dig. We are working on leash manners and she has mastered sit, and we are working on down. Ellie has a great recall already. She will be suitable for a very active home. Older children only would be fine just because of her energy level. She does not jump on people nor does she get on furniture. She is housebroken and crate trained. This is a very biddable girl and would be excellent as a performance dog. We will be experimenting with different venues as she learns more manners. If you are looking for an active partner for jogging, hiking or any outdoor type sport this is the girl for you. I cannot say enough about this girl's temperament. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped, heartworm negative and ready to take on the trail! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-05-02-00539Luke (male)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Luke was born on March 10, 2018, one of 10 pups, and currently fostered in Melbourne, FL (Brevard County). His mother is a large mixed perhaps Catahoula x border collie who was rescued from a shelter while pregnant. The puppies were born in and have been raised in foster care. Luke has a sweet and calm disposition. If he is anything like his mom, he may grow to be 60-70 lbs. His brown fur is slightly tinged with black. He has a black muzzle but the rest of him is almost an auburn brown. He enjoys attention and being held. He loves to play tug, and run with his litter mates. He will do well in a home with lots of exercise. Luke is up-to-date ... (Read More)on age-appropriate vaccines and preventives, and microchipped. He will go home with a neuter contract - he will need to be neutered at 6 months of age, after which when proof is submitted to rescue, $50 of his adoption donation can be refunded. (Less)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Stephanie is fostered in Winter Garden, FL (Orange County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Stephanie is an itty-bitty heeler mix girl of 17 lbs and a year old. We are uncertain what her mix may be - perhaps terrier. She is a very loving pup who would do best in a home with another dog to play with. She does have a fair deal of timidity to her and will bark when a loud noise or unfamiliar person scares her, but she bonds readily with people once she knows they won't hurt her. She is fostered in a home with a toddler and two kids, and does great with them. She has also done fine with elderly folks and both ... (Read More)men and women once she gets to know them. She would make a nice family dog. She does well walking on leash and enjoys fetching a tennis ball and playing with squeaky toys. She loves to play with other dogs and has done fine at the dog park. She is fostered with another young, smaller female dog and they are buddies. She is reported to not be good with cats. She does have a fair amount of herding drive so should go to someone familiar with the breed. Stephanie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, heartworm negative and microchipped. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-05-02-00481Clover (female)

Border Collie    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Clover is fostered in Tampa, FL (Hillsborough County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Clover is a 9-month-old border collie (perhaps mix) of 30 lbs, and we anticipate she will be about 35 when filled out. Clover is a border collie ALL the way. She corrects easily and is very sensitive and biddable. She would do best in an experienced border home who would perhaps involve her in sports, herding, dock diving, agility, etc. She would excel at it all. Clover loves the company of the dogs in her foster home, though doesn't necessarily need to go to a home with other dogs. Clover is VELCRO to her humans, and ... (Read More)will trip you up trying to stick as close to your side as possible. As such we do not recommend she go to anyone less than surefooted - we would not want to see anyone fall because of this. She absolutely loves to cuddle up on the couch, but don't expect her to want to relax unless she's had both physical and mental exercise - she will need it every day. Because she will nip at running feet, we do not suggest she go to a home with children under 10 unless the family is a very experienced herding dog family (i.e. a dog sports family). She is quiet in her crate, and will need to be crated when unsupervised so that she doesn't get into anything she shouldn't. Please, no cats at this time. She is fostered in a home with chickens and LOVES to keep them all in one spot. Her herding drive is amazing. Clover is housebroken, crate trained, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm negative. She is looking for that special family! (Less)

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Nash is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Nash is currently fostered in Dade City, FL (Pasco County). Nash is a handsome, 1-year-old blue heeler of 28 lbs. He is an average energy boy for his age and breed, and loves to play in the kiddie pool. He walks nicely on lead and rides well in the car. He loves people, but cats are a no-no. He enjoys cuddling with his people and playing with dogs of a similar energy level. He does fine with dogs of all ages and sizes, but does tend to guard resources against other male dogs, which can be worked with. He exhibits some barrier ... (Read More)reactivity when crated. He definitely could use socialization and obedience training, as any young dog would. Nash is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm negative. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-05-02-00451Jackson (male)

Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Jackson is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Jackson is currently fostered in Riverview, FL (Hillsborough County). Hi, my name is Jackson! Foster momma asked me to talk about myself so that I can find my forever, so here is what I have to say as typed by her. I am about 2 years old and 80 lbs, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, neutered, microchipped and heartworm-free! I have been told that I am a Great Pyrenees mix. The vet said I even have some Australian shepherd in me! I am not sure what that means, but to me it means that my job is to be outside protecting my territory. ... (Read More)According to foster momma, if I didn't have the pesky herding dog instincts fighting with the guardian instincts, I would be out with lots of grass eaters making sure that they stay safe from predators. Since I do have a lot of desire to make the grass eaters move, she won't let me stay in their pasture with them. On the other paw, she says that that instinct is also why I have never tried to escape my pasture, so I guess it isn't all bad. I came into rescue with a goat who was my friend who has since been adopted. I am still looking for my forever home. I am pretty bouncy when I want attention, but my foster parents are working on it. I won't let strangers come out where I am, because they could be ninjas in disguise, unless one of my foster parents comes out with them and tells me that they are allowed. I do not want any furry things getting into my food, so I let them know that they are not allowed. I am not an inside dog as I refuse to go in the house. I would make an awesome farm dog but I am admittedly not the best livestock guardian. I just want to be your friend. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-05-02-00445Flower (female)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Flower is in need of a new foster or ideally adoptive home. She is currently located in Bradenton, FL (Manatee County) and transport is available throughout the state to a new foster home. Flower has been in rescue since 2015 when she, her mom and littermates were rescued from having been dumped in a box in Miami. Her mom and siblings were adopted that year, but we held Flower back due to a heart problem called cardiomyopathy that has since been nearly eliminated with good nutrition, supplements and medication. The rescue provides support and cardiology appointments for fosters. Flower is a 2-year-old, 63 pound spayed female, chocolate ... (Read More)brown, bully breed mix with maybe some lab thrown in as well. Her mom looks like an American bully and is doing great in her forever home. Flower is so lanky she is surely mixed with something athletic. She is an attention-seeking, fun-loving, energetic pup that loves to run and play. Flower gets along well with and loves to play with other dogs, but can get a bit intense. For this reason she is not suited for homes with small children or small pets. She sleeps in a crate at night and when her current foster family leaves the house. She is pretty well potty trained and goes potty outside on leash. She knows basic commands and leash etiquette, but has a stubborn streak sometimes. On leash she will participate in simple agility tasks, but off leash she loses focus and just wants to run. She requires a fenced yard for play and exercise. Flower is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm negative. Please inquire if you are interested in fostering or adopting this sweet and wonderful girl. (Less)

She has herding drive and will herd kids and other dogs. She is pretty bossy and is not recommended for ... (Read More)kids younger than 10. She is very respectful with seniors. She loves to play catch and tug as well as search for toys.     Nugget is currently fostered in Fernandina Beach, FL (Nassau County), near Jacksonville. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Nugget is a gentle, loving red female Australian cattle dog who deserves a special home. She came from a terrible puppy mill/abuse situation but has somehow managed to regain her trust in humans and love of life. Although she still prefers the security of her crate, she likes to explore in the yard and is ... (Read More)respectful of her canine buddies. She's on the lower energy side and loves to cuddle next to you on the couch. Nugget was not exposed to much of the outside world so is cautious of new situations but still curious about the world around her. She really is amazing considering what her life was like before she was rescued. Nugget was underfed, kept in a crate nearly all the time, forced to have many litters of pups and lived in filthy, flea-infested conditions. But somehow, despite all the horror, she's managed to regain her trust in people and joy for living and is now ready to share that joy with a special, caring person or family. She is house-trained and crate-trained but still learning normal dog behavior and boundaries. She's spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on shots, weighs about 30 lbs., has a red speckled coat and soulful eyes. Nugget would be a great match for a compassionate, mellow person or family looking for a sweet companion for quiet walks and just hanging out. She would do great with another calm packmate, benefit from more socialization and training, and will make a wonderful companion as she continues to gain confidence and learn that the world can be a kind place. Sharkey is a 1-2 year old unknown mixed breed - vet records indicate some cur and kelpie in there, and we see Carolina dog and maybe some retriever or shepherd. Regardless, if you are looking for an ideally medium-sized (35-40 lbs), on-the-go, athletic and loving dog, Sharkey is your guy! This handsome young lad is a Hurricane Harvey rescue. He came in from Louisiana knowing nothing about manners (but with not a mean bone in his body). We sent him to a trainer ... (Read More)where he has lived for a few months and has learned valuable skills like walking on lead, being appropriate in his interactions with other dogs, impulse control, basic commands, and how to relax and be calm. His foster will need to commit to continuing to reinforce calm energy with him. He does need a home that will give him an outlet, be it some kind of work, running, bikejoring, etc. He requires a home with a secure, fenced yard. Sharkey is light heartworm positive and will likely be treated with doxycycline and Heartgard with no activity restrictions (TBD). If he only needs slow-kill, he can be adopted outright. The rescue will pay for heartworm treatment at one of the veterinarians we work with. Sharkey gets along with dogs when introduced properly. He would be fine with kids 12+, but is a bit too exuberant for young ones. He is housebroken and crate trained. Sharkey is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, and microchipped. Can you help him on his journey to a forever home? Foster applications can be found at ewenityfarmsbch.com. (Less)
